DESDE UN CORAZON TRANS
Our Purpose
La Perla Victoria: Desde un Corazón Trans is a documentary created by Cuidar Cura.
Cuidar Cura is a national narrative change campaign of Alianza Americas that highlights the care networks that Latin American migrants build to navigate life in the U.S. We seek to transform how we understand and value family and care, building a more equitable and inclusive future for all.
This documentary was created in collaboration with T4T Empowerment and Familia TQLM, created to uplift the voices, resilience, and leadership of trans migrant communities. The project centers on bringing the film directly to communities through in-person screenings and conversations that foster dialogue around identity, belonging, migration, healing, and collective care. Beginning with events in Chicago and California, the documentary will circulate through community screenings for a full year before being released online.
Our goal is to encourage organizations, community groups, and local leaders to host their own screenings and create spaces for reflection, connection, and solidarity.
Want to organize a screening in your community? Contact us.
By requesting access to the documentary, hosts will receive access to the full film, along with an event guide and a conversation guide designed to support meaningful community dialogue and help build networks of care and support at the local level.
